Internet Explorer Scripting Errors

If you are logged in to Tally and working on data and in particular Internet Explorer then you may see the error:

'Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.  If it continues to run it may cause your computer to become unresponsive.  First thing to try if you see this error is to login into Tally from a different browser i.e Firefox, Google Chrome.

If the problem persists despite this then open up a fresh browser in Internet Explorer.  Towards the top right you should see 'tools', click this and scroll down to 'Internet Options'.  Within this setting click on the 'advanced' tab towards the top right.  You will see an option to 'Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer), click the checkbox to select this.

Just below this you will see the option to 'Display a notification about every script error', click to clear this then go to the bottom and click 'Ok'.  Close the browser and then open up a new one and login to the system and this should sort the problem.
