I am a Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Taxation Technicians with over 20 years' experience in national and regional practices. I deal with all areas including personal tax, inheritance tax planning, audits and owner managed businesses of all sizes. I also perform special work such as tax advisory and business valuations. 

Outside of work I am a keen nature and landscape photographer with a speciality in wild bird photos. My website at www.birdsonline.co.uk showcases my pictures. As you can see this keeps me busy in my spare time!

I am a Chartered Accountant and qualified Corporate Financier with over 25 years' experience in national and regional practices. I deal with all areas of advice to owner managed businesses of all sizes. I can also provide specialist advice in the form of raising business finance/refinancing, business disposals/acquisitions and Management Buy Outs.

When I’m not at work my favourite pastime is spending quality time with my wife and children, usually as a spectator or supporter on a football pitch!

I am a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and have enjoyed over 30 years in practice, commencing with a training contract with a 'Big Four' firm. I have a range of clients in different sectors. What is most rewarding about my job is to work with business owners and to help them achieve their goals, which invariably means looking at things from all angles; business, family and personal.

I love music and outside of work I enjoy playing my violin in a quartet of friends and with the North Staffs Symphony Orchestra, activities which are very sociable as well as musical!

Hi! I am a fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants with over 25 years' accounting and tax experience. My initial background was in personal tax, which complements my accounts preparation and tax planning skills perfectly. Over the last 15 years my portfolio has extended to include sole trader, partnership and limited company businesses with turnovers of up to £5million.

When I'm not at work I’m basically a sports nut! With a heavy heart I have recently had to retire from playing rugby (dodgy knees!) but I still enjoy playing cricket for my local club and I am actively involved in its committee. I’ll also watch near enough any sport on TV, but I probably would pass on synchronised swimming!

Rachael Says:

I entered the world of accountancy back in 2003 and have subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant. I have worked in practice ever since, working on limited companies involved in both the preparation of accounts and audit work. I manage a portfolio of clients of various sizes. I take an active role in assisting my clients to improve their accountancy systems and in particular through the use of Tally. I have experience using other online accountancy packages and find Tally the most user friendly of them all. It is particularly good for those clients with little accountancy knowledge or confidence with IT. I endeavour to make the transition to online accountancy as smooth as possible for clients. Cloud based bookkeeping really does make record keeping as simple as possible.

When I am not at work I love to exercise, I am a regular runner and visitor to the gym having run several half marathons and participated in a number of charity obstacle courses locally. In addition, I enjoy cycling and am a member of the local ladies cricket club.

Guy Says:

After 3 year training in practice I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and promoted to manager in the corporate department, that was a fair while ago!  Since then I have gained extensive experience of all types of small businesses including farming, building and transport sectors.  I am also responsible for our “not for profit clients” and provide a hands on approach to advising clients in the sector.

I find that cooking is a great form of relaxation especially when listening to good music.  I regularly cater for family and friends, preferably this would be after a long walk with my camera in hand.

David Says:

I am a Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years' experience in practice. I deal with many areas of accountancy, including personal tax, audits and small owner managed businesses.

In my spare time, I write and record music with my band, Tesco Chainstore Mascara. I am also a keen photographer and runner, taking part in races to marathon distance around the county. Next up, the London Marathon (fingers crossed!).
