PDF - Can't Open or View

There are a few reasons why you would not be able to view a PDF in Tally.  Luckily all are resolved fairly easily.

  1. You do not have Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.  To get Adobe Reader you can go to Adobe website and get it for free!
  2. You can’t view PDF’s when clicking ‘Update & Preview’ in the invoice settings section of Tally.  This is probably because you have no invoices set up already (We use the last invoice to generate the preview).  If you have no invoices set up simply create one to test with.  You can delete it afterwards.
  3. You still can’t view PDF’s when clicking ‘Update & Preview’ in the invoice settings section.  If the second isn’t the case then you are probably Using Google’s browser – Chrome.  This is a known issue and we are working on a fix for this.  In the mean time you can either go to the sales screen and preview an invoice there or use a separate browser while setting up the design of your invoice.
  4. You can’t view an invoice when you click ‘Print Invoice’.  If you go to Settings > Advanced Settings and tick the option ‘PDF’s in New Window’.  This will open the invoice in a new window and allow you to preview invoices.
